People nowadays prefer using smartphones or tablets for accessing their email account than to using the computer or laptop as they find the former one more convenient and efficient. There’s no need to carry the big black box along to revert to any mail. All this can be done from the smartphone itself. However, Apple has recently released an update for its OS and people have started downloading it to enjoy the latest amazing features.
With the update of OS, some people started facing problem in accessing the email. They are getting email errors on the screen when they try to send the new email. Some have even tried to resolve it by restarting the email app but nothing has helped them so far. With the help of a complaint forum, people want to seek the steps for troubleshooting the issue. Keeping their problem on priority, we are now going to discuss the steps that will definitely resolve this annoying problem.
- Blank screen on email app: If you find the black screen on the Bellsouth email app, then it indicates that the email address entered by you in the ‘To’ field is incorrect and the name of the email service provider is wrong. Entering any special character in your own email address may lead to this error. The steps to get rid of this problem are:
- Remove the email account from the app.
- Delete all those emails having file size more than 60 MB. This includes promotional emails and other advertisements.
- Clear the ‘Outbox’ folder.
- Restart your phone by turning it off, then on from the same button.
- The restoration function is the last resort to the problem. After this, all the data will be deleted and you will have to enter the data again or can take the backup on the computer prior resetting.
- No new email received in the inbox and error message related to the password: If you are getting any error message related to ‘Email password wrong’ or ‘No email received’ on the screen, then follow the steps mentioned here as under:
- Unlock the smartphone by entering the pattern.
- Go to the ‘Email’ app and select ‘Bellsouth’.
- Tap the right corner of the screen and click ‘Logout’.
- Login again with the existing username and password. The same details you use to log in from the webmail. Don’t log in from any other device other than the email app.
Important: If you are getting any irrelevant or promotional emails in your inbox folder without your knowledge, then you can block such emails by entering the email addresses in the ‘Blocked email’ addresses section. You can also use ‘Flag message’ option to stop receiving the emails. Click on ‘Trash’ folder to move the messages in the inbox folder.
